Born in California, Russ grew up in Bedford, VA and is currently the band director at EC Glass high School.
Among many instruments Russ enjoys playing, the guitar seems to be the most special: Elsa. That’s his guitar’s name. You know it’s special when you name your instrument!
“I learned to love music in the band room of Liberty High School in Bedford, VA. I like to play great songs, especially sappy shit. It’s a blend of folksy, bluesy coffee house, sad songs. Stuff you want to hold someone’s hand when you hear it.”
